Whale Shark Tagging
1
0
Despite their size, very little data exists on whale sharks.
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation was therefore pleased to support Fundacion Malpelo y Otros Ecosistemas Marinos in a whale shark tagging project in the Malpelo sanctuary, in order to better understand their behaviour and migration patterns so as to better protect them.
This project has successfully generated tools to develop national and international conservation measures for this species.
