The savanna food web
10
0
The African savanna is an ecosystem characterized by its tall grasses and scattered trees that do not form a closed canopy. Temperatures are high all year-round and the wet season is during summer. Savannas are found in Africa, South America, Australia, India and South East Asia. All the food chain actors are present: carnivores eat herbivores that feed on producers (plant matter). Scavengers and detritivores (bacteria, fungi, termites...) decompose organic matter, leaving it to producers, which completes the food web.
