The hatchings of green sea turtles
4
0
The hatchings of green sea turtles on the atolls of Polynesia is always a unique moment. Some hatchlings emerge very quickly from the nest, while others, weaker, have a little more trouble getting out of the nest. Sometimes, our teams on the spot must give them a little help so that they can reach the ocean.
One baby sea turtle out of 1,000 will reach the reproduction age, making it a threatened species worldwide.
*Scientific monitoring of green sea turtle nesting sites on Tetiaroa authorized by the Direction of the Environment of French Polynesia
