Shrimps farms

In the south of Honduras, on the shores of the Fonseca Gulf, huge artificial impoundments of shrimps farming follow one another as far as the eye can see. Developed since the end of the 70s, these gigantic basins fed with sea water, shelter shrimp farms. Although beneficial to Honduras' economy, these expanding livestock operations have spread to the mangroves. A program of environmental management was created so that these breeding do not harm this precious ecosystem.
