Sago palm larvae

0
The equatorial forest of West Papua is the territory and the food stock of Korowai tribes. In addition to game and picking, Korowai people find the proteins they need into sago palms. As it decomposes, the tree is invaded by weevils larvae, wood-eating insects laying its eggs in the wood. 100 grams of these larvae are equivalent to two steaks. A delicacy when the hunt is bad.
