Located in the center of the archipelago, Tubuai is the largest of the Australes islands. Its topography marked by plains and plateaus, its temperate climate and fertile soil have made it Polynesia's fruit and vegetable granary. The Explorers met Séverine, an unusual market gardener, who left everything to come and grow carrots in Tubuaï, in a life she considers to be freer and more humble.
