The Explorers
Dani’s staple crops are sweet potato, banana, and cassava. Pigs are precious and are reserved for special occasions only. The food is cooked in a traditional earth oven. Stones are heated in a fire and lowered into a pit. The food is placed on top and then covered in grass and leaves to keep the steam inside. The meal is ready after a couple of hours.
