Good news today at the Care center !
Temeio, a subadult green turtle which arrived on August, 2nd 2019 after a speargun arrow, is doing much better and could soon be released.
Upon arrival, Temeio suffered from severe injuries to the head as well as to the right eye following the impact of a speargun arrow. During the past 3 months, Temeio could not see from its right eye and had no eye reflex.
Since the past 15 days, its eye reflex has returned and Temeio is now able to see the food provided from the right eye, as shown in the video below.
Its recovery speed is a very good sign for its future in our oceans!
