A snowy mountain emerges in the middle of the sea, it looks like a mirage. For the Greeks, it was Poseidon who would have placed it in the Mediterranean. Corsica is located in the middle of a long-disputed sea passage. The island of Beauty has been conquered, destroyed, rebuilt, but never subjugated. It is the refuge of Mediterranean woodlands, peaks over 6,500ft (2,000 m) high, alpine lakes, endemic biodiversity and a nation with a unique character.
