In Western Honduras, close to the small colonial town of Gracias, the Celaque National Park is home to Cerro Las minas, the highest point of the country (9399 feet high / 2,865 meters high).
This site, which means water reserve, is classified as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It contains an ecosystem specific to this environment. Hermès Vega, a passionate biologist, travels the National Park every day to identify the flora and fauna and protect them better.
