Looking for Javan rusa: the team arriving on the ridge line

On November 20, The Explorers team went next to Bourail, in western New Caledonia, to look for Javan rusa. Alarm clock set up at 2 am, to be ready to film at the first streak of dawn, at about 4:30 am.
Freddy and his son Dany welcomed us on their property to help us to find and to observe this invasive species, introduced in 1870 on the island. A beautiful landscape but also transformed over the years by the presence of this species.
