An elephant herd has just arrived nearby the river. Young males run to the water. After a few minutes, one the young bulls get out of the water (the wet elephant on the right of the picture looking darker) and starts challenging another one that has coming to the river. At their age, this king of challenge is still a game. These fights between the young males allow them to establish a king of rank but also to develop skills that they will need to challenge older bulls, for instance to win the right to mate.
