She is a woman in a male-dominated profession. Although heir to a long family tradition, Mélanie Pfister had to prove herself as a winegrower. She sought to bring together the other female winegrowers of Alsace and in 2011 she created the DiVINes d’Alsace. A regional association that links some sixty women in the wine industry: winegrowers, sommeliers, wine merchants, oenologists, researchers and marketing specialists. Motivated professionals who want to help promote the success of Alsace wines.
