Wingfoil, the rising star of wind sports
1
0
First appearing at the beginning of 2015, wingfoil or wing foil is the latest sport in vogue among fans of wind sports. As with kitesurfing, athletes are propelled by a wing, carried by the winds. The wings of the wing foil are not attached to a harness but via a leash linked to the wrist and another one attaching the ankle to the board. The wing is therefore held directly with both hands. At the crossroads between windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding, the wing foil is in the spotlight of the Mondial du Vent (World Wind Competition) in Leucate.
