Wine estates crossed by a river

0
Five hamlets and numerous wine estates stretch below the urbanized Saint-Michel and Sainte-Croix hills in Pierrefeu-du-Var. The vines grow in a plain formed during the Permian era (299-251 million years ago) crossed by the Réal Martin river and its tributaries. Seventeen miles long (28 km), the Réal Martin takes its source 705 ft (215 meters) above sea level, on the territory of Pignans. It crosses the village of Pierrefeu-du-Var where it merges with the Réal Collobrier in Les Platanes hamlet.
