Nickel is very little used in the pure state but is involved in the composition of about 3000 alloys and stainless steels used in many sectors of the economy such as chemistry, household appliances, cars, construction, aeronautics ... It is even used to reinforce the security characteristics of coins, in particular of one and two euros. As for the new technologies, they use nickel-cadmium batteries for electric cars.
