The lateral eyes of the rhinoceros imply that it turns its head to look ahead. It has a poor eyesight. Its sense of smell is excellent. Its hearing is very sharp. For this reason, it turns them in all directions to identify a danger or capture the sounds of congeners. To approach a rhinoceros, it is essential to go against the wind.
