When its born, the seal baby is called the little yellow. Its coat is yellow due to amniotic fluid. Its fur is thin which makes it vulnerable. After a few days, the little yellow becomes a white seal. Its coat gets thicker and whiter under the sun and the snow. It learns how to swim and hunt thanks to its mother.
