Whale shark feeding
Whale sharks feed only on small preys such as fish less than 10 cm, crustaceans, plankton or krill. They must swallow greater quantities of food to be satiated, i.e.: they can swallow a ton of plankton per day. Predominantly solitary, whale sharks can be seen in groups of up to 100 individuals when feeding, either at dusk and at night.
