Wetlands in the Agriate
In the Agriate area, the shoreline stretches for 37 km (23 mi) without any urbanization. Dunes and barrier beaches block the river’s mouths. It forms a brackish wetland of marshes and ponds. The Saleccia beach, which is 1,200 m (3,937 ft) long, is separated from the Padulella marsh by dunes with large-fruited junipers. This marsh is less than one meter deep and is bordered of rushes.
