Suspended from a supporting branch, the weaver's nest, composed of several compartments, is formed of an outer envelope woven by the male that also lines the ceiling. The female, for her part, once the nest and the male chosen to mate, takes care of a litter of leaves, grass blades and soft feathers in the laying chamber. The male cleans the nest by removing the broken eggs.
