Wandering Tattler, description and variations
Stocky and medium-sized, the Wandering Tattler (Tringa incana) has long yellow legs and a long, straight, pointed dark gray bill. Its usually plain plumage is gray on the wings and on the back and white on the belly. It evolves during the nuptial period when it speckles on the chest and the belly while a prominent eyebrow appears above the eyes.
