Manta Rays are pelagic species. It means it lives in the waters close to the surface or between the surface and the floor. Usually, Ray Manta can be observed between the surface and 300 feet. In more rare occasions, a Manta Ray could be observed at a depth of 3,000 feet (1,000 m)!
