Rotation and cutting speeds

0
Woodturning allows the execution of spherical or cylindrical pieces of revolution, but also - thanks to specific devices - of objects of various shapes. The cutting speed depends on the diameter of the workpiece and on the speed of the lathe. It varies from 9.8 feet (3 meters) per second to 49 feet (15 meters) per second depending on the structure of the wood, its hardness and the desired degree of finish.
