Although occasionally hidden by the waves and spray, the coral terraces of Shabadran - south-east of Maré Island - are often emerged and visible. They form a coastal zone extended inland by other reef constructions which are not always identifiable on the outcrop because they are covered with soil and/or vegetation. This cross-sectional view clearly shows the different levels of terraces.
