If we all know the nutritious virtues of edible bananas, these parthenocarpic fruits devoid of seeds at the base of the diet of many tropical countries, we could be inspired by the Kuhl's Lorikeet and also consume its flower with equally interesting properties. This purple-colored bud - commonly called babafig - is namely rich in nutrients (fibers, proteins, iron, vitamin E, flavonoids), as well as antioxidants and has multiple medicinal properties.
