The territory of the municipality of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt in the Vaucluse department is vast. It covers 18,728 acres (7,579 ha) that allow for a dispersed habitat distributed between the village, its various hamlets, and isolated houses in the countryside. In 1765, the habitat of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt was already well extended since it included 312 houses in the village and almost as many - 294 - in the countryside for a population substantially identical to that of today.
