Highlighting a unique local biodiversity

The Jardin des Sculptures of the Fondation Carmignac in Porquerolles was designed to highlight the unique local biodiversity preserved thanks to the work of the Port-Cros National Park. This garden is a place of nature where pioneer and endemic plants (rock roses, lavender, flax-leaved broom, serapias, etc.) grow alongside plants of more distant origins (jacarandas, eucalyptus, mimosas, citruses of all kinds). At the same time, many olive trees (photos) and a small orchard were replanted to preserve the site's agricultural character.
