Alfred-Théodore Courmes, the owner of Domaine du Rayol, had the Villa Rayolet built there in 1925. Designed by the architect Guillaume Tronchet, it stands on the eastern promontory of the 20 hectare estate. This 'neo-Provençal' styled villa is representative of the bourgeois houses of the twentieth century with spaces separated according to their functions and a succession of reception and service rooms.
