The Moulin de Bonaventure (Bonaventure Mill) extends on the road towards Oraison at Valensole in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. There, the operators of Terres de Bonaventure, anxious to watch over each stage of the development of the finished products they offer, produce olive oils and distill lavender, helichrysum, thyme, and laurel. All their crops have been grown in organic farming since 1978 at an altitude of 1,968 ft (600 m), and their processing is done directly on site at the mill, without transport nor intermediaries.
