Egg meurette from Clos de Vougeot
On October 11, 2019, Clos de Vougeot hosted the first world championship of egg meurette, on the occasion of World Egg Day. An emblematic recipe from Burgundy and a signature dish from Clos de Vougeot, egg meurette is a poached egg accompanied by a Burgundy red wine sauce (meurette), onions, bacon and shallots browned in butter. Everything is served with garlic crouton or toast. You can also add sliced mushrooms.
