In the heart of Côte d'Or, Burgundy, Monthelie is a wine-producing village. Built on the side of a hill, it depended in the Middle Ages on the abbey of Cluny. In addition to the large vineyard which surrounds it, the village is famous for its church of the XIIth century and its pretty bell-tower made of tiles.
