The Vouge, a river in Côte-d'Or

Entirely located in the Côte-d'Or department, the Vouge is a fairly scarce Burgundy river with a pluvial hydrological regime. Twenty miles (33 km) long, it takes its source near the village of Vougeot - to which it gave its hydronyme - and flows into the Saône, on the right bank. It is therefore a sub-tributary of the Rhône. It is the habitat of many mallards, the most common of the surface ducks, of which we see a female here, recognizable by her dead leaves colored plumage.
