The Trois Glorieuses of Burgundy

0
The end of the harvest is celebrated by all winegrowers with a festive meal called Paulée in Burgundy. Another tradition is the Paulée de Meursault and its Trois Glorieuses (Three Glorious). The first takes place at the castle of Clos de Vougeot, on the third Saturday of November, with the annual meeting of the Chevaliers du Tastevins (Knights of Tastevins). The second Glorieuse happens the following Sunday at the Hôtel-Dieu of Beaune with the auction of the Hospices de Beaune from the previous year. The third glorious is a plentiful meal bringing together winegrowers, merchants, and friends in the castle of Meursault.
