The development and survival of corals in New Caledonia are at the heart of the studies of the Noumea Research and Development Institute. Numerous local specimens are observed with different temperatures and acidity situations in order to understand their complex mechanism of survival. The global warming of the waters of the Pacific is an ordeal that some corals overcome while others succumb. Discovering the reason why will be the key to the lagoons survival.
