The Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur (Sacred Heart) of Montmartre is dedicated to the continuous adoration (day and night) of the Body of Christ. Every day, after the church closes at 10.45 pm, those registered for the night of adoration continue the silent prayers. The Basilica’s guest house (Ephrem Spiritual Centre) provides accommodation for the adorers and offers dinner and breakfast, with a contribution to the costs. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is a shrine of Eucharistic Adoration, and the symbol of God’s mercy for all people. The Body of Christ has been adored without interruption since 1 August 1885.
