Located South of the Cotentin peninsula, at the edge of Mont-Saint-Michel bay, the village of Carolles is best known for its large sandy beach and its sea cliffs overlooking the bay. Running along the cliffs, a path open to hikers offers an impressive view of the Mont-Saint-Michel and the Tombelaine rock. In good weather, it is even possible to spot Brittany across the bay. South of Carolles, the underbrush of the Lude valley has a wide variety of wildlife, including badgers and a wide range of birds.
