The four large terraces of the Fondation Louis Vuitton offer a privileged view of the Bois de Boulogne, the Jardin d'Acclimatation, and the economic center of La Défense. Its Grande Arche, desired by the former President of the Republic François Mitterrand, is also a cultural place. The 12,916 sq ft (1,200 m²) of its cultural space permanently exhibits paintings, photographs, and street art. At its feet stretches a vast and animated esplanade and, inside, a shopping center.
