The 7.4 acres (3 ha) site of the gardens of the Musée International de la Parfumerie is structured around an old canal and an agricultural basin. The public is welcomed there around a vast greenhouse, a multifunctional technical and educational space forming a threshold to the gardens that can be explored freely with video guides or on guided tours. The permanent exhibition completes the visit with a scientific approach linking botanical cultures and perfumery. Its course explains why and how plants produce odors, the evolution of the cultivation of perfume plants over the centuries, the treatment of raw materials, etc.
