A city turned towards the sea

The coastal town of Antibes Juan-les-Pins in the Alpes-Maritimes department has numerous assets. Rich with 14.2 mi (23 km) of Mediterranean coastline alternating fine sand and pebble beaches, steep rocks, and hidden coves, it has four ports, including Port Vauban, the leading marina in Europe. Antibes Juan-les-Pins is a European Blue Flag town and a member of the Riviera Ports network, along with the Lympia port of Nice, the port of Golfe-Juan, and the Pierre-Canto port of Cannes. The city perpetuates a maritime tradition of boating, yacht clubs, shipyards, and professional fishing. In this respect, it also hosts prestigious nautical events such as the Antibes Yacht Show, the Voiles d'Antibes annual regatta of old sailing ships, and the la Croisière Bleue coastal race.
