A villa dedicated to the arts
0
0
In the 1980s, the architect Henri Vidal acquired the Domaine de la Courtade on the island of Porquerolles, which he transformed into an elegant villa later bought by Edouard Carmignac, a businessman and art lover. The new owner has created there a place dedicated to the arts, the Villa Carmignac, open to the public since 2018. To meet the urbanization constraints imposed by this listed site installed within a national park, Villa Carmignac has developed a 6,561 square feet (2,000 m²) underground exhibition space lit by a skylight embellished with a ceiling of water that offers an unusual setting for the selected works.
