An old lady from 1607

The Buerehiesel is a former peasant house transported from Molsheim to Strasbourg for the Industrial Exhibition of 1895. The city was under German administration back then, and the authorities wanted to highlight the region's heritage. From a small grocery store established in 1607, the house became a café for the Parc de l'Orangerie's visitors. It also resisted two world wars and is now a flower of Alsatian and French gastronomy under chef Eric Westermann.
