An almost self-sufficient life
0
0
Pierre Daniel endeavors to live almost self-sufficient in nature among his husky dogs. He draws water from a well and breaks the ice in winter, lights himself with candles, and heats his house with a chimney. He built his wooden house at an altitude of 3,937 ft (1,200 m) in the valley of Laisia as well as the kennels and trays for his dogs. Pierre Daniel also carves branches he considers interestingly shaped and creates artistic compositions out of them. However, he does not consider himself a hermit as he keeps contact with the surrounding villages, where he travels with his sled dogs daily.
