A vast, protected, and supervised beach

Espiguette Beach in Le Grau-du-Roi is unique in Europe with its 6.21 miles (10 km) of sand. It forms one of the most remarkable dune systems in the northern Mediterranean basin, with a natural environment of high ecological value. The Conservatoire du Littoral (Coastal Protection Agency) ensures the protection of part of this sensitive site. Renowned for the quality of its waters, Espiguette Beach constitutes a supervised swimming area every year from early July to late August.
