A controlled coastal urbanization
0
0
Made up of vast properties that are still little fragmented, Cap Bénat remains preserved from coastal urbanization. It mainly affects its eastern part, where luxury private housing estates have been established since the 1950s. The parceling out of the plots, the classification of the site, and its protection by the Coastal Protection Agency have made it possible to block numerous real estate projects. Such initiatives allowed preserving not only Cap Bénat's steep cliffs and wooded areas but also its fauna and flora.
