Since 1911, when Narcisse Villet opened a small woodturning workshop in Moirans-en-Montagne, the Jura toy factory has never stopped its activity. Its direct descendants continued the tradition until 1985, when the company was bought. The Vilac workshop is internationally renowned as far as Japan and received, in 2007, the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label. The same year, it was also recognized as a know-how of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park.
