The locality of Rustrel in the Vaucluse department has an agricultural tradition mainly linked to viticulture and olive growing. Heterogeneous agricultural areas, arable land, and permanent crops represent 23% of its territory. The vineyards of Rustrel, already mentioned in the cartularies of the church of Apt in the 12th century, produce AOC Ventoux or Vin de pays d'Aigues wines. The village has preserved its oil mill, dating from the 18th-19th centuries and open to visits, and also has several truffle fields intended for the lucrative truffle culture.
