The concept of the Villa du Temps Retrouvé in Cabourg is to invite visitors nostalgic for the Belle Epoque to let themselves be guided by the tutelary figure of Marcel Proust in a house inhabited by works and stories. Dedicated to the heritage of the Côte Fleurie (Flowery Coast), to the imagination of Proust, and to the cultures of the Belle Epoque, the visit to the villa provides a better understanding of an already modern society suspended between two centuries, two wars, and two worlds with Paris as a center in winter and the Normandy seaside resorts in summer. Both emblematic of the most beautiful villas in Cabourg and an open window on the region, the Villa du Temps Retrouvé also bears witness to the technological, industrial, economic, cultural, and social revolutions that marked the era and inspired the world of today.
