A fishing technique respectful of the environment

The seine fishing practiced in Martinique is a fishing technique that respects the environment and the species. The seines are selective, with small mesh sizes adapted to the often homogeneous schools of pelagic species they are seeking after. Operating on the surface, they have no impact on marine habitats and bring excellent quality fish to shore. Largely dependent on the weather conditions, this technique cannot be used in bad weather due to the significant amounts of netting it uses.
