Le Lavandou is a former small fishing port that has become a renowned seaside resort on the coast of the Var department. Bordered by the municipalities of Bormes-les-Mimosas to the west and north and La Môle and Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer to the east, it covers an area of 16.5 sqm (29.65 km²). Le Lavandou extends at the foot of the Massif des Maures, between sea level and 1,591 ft (485 m) of altitude. In 2018, it was home to almost 6,000 inhabitants and had a population density of 202 people per square kilometer.
